Our pricing for translation projects is based on the following:

• Number of source words
• Complexity of the subject in the source document
• Deadline required to complete the translation

Number of source words
The main factor in calculating translation fees is the number of words in the source document. (This is the document to be translated as opposed to the target document which is the final translated document.) Generally speaking, when translating to Italian from English, the target word count will be about 20% higher than the source word count. However, as our fees are calculated on the basis of the source word count, you will have an accurate cost quote at the beginning of each project.

Complexity of the Source
Translation cost (based on the price per word above) also depends on the how complex the source document is. For example, general non-technical business correspondence would cost less to translate than a technical document, legal contract, manual, etc.

Deadlines
Delivery time requirements also have an impact on the overall fees for translation. Generally, documents which need be translated and delivered in a short time frame will attract a higher fee than those which are not as urgent.
