Learn Italian through Food and Cookery!

Learn the Italian language as well as authentic Italian recipes that you will prepare and sample as part of the course.

The course consists of 1 session per week over a 7 week period:
For 6 of the weeks:
Each session lasts for 1½ hours of which 1 hour is dedicated to learning general Italian (for beginners) or conversation & more advanced grammar (at higher levels), and the remaining ½ hour is spent learning how to prepare and sample a small Italian speciality.

A coffee (cappuccino, latte, etc) is included in each session.
For the remaining week:
The 7th session will be for 3 hours, devoted to cooking - a great way of practicing 'hands on' what you have learned!

The first 2 hours will be spent learning how to prepare a starter (or side dish), a main dish and a dessert. For the 3rd and last hour you will have a sit down meal comprising the dishes you have just prepared! A glass of wine is also included.


The language lessons are taught by a qualified & experienced Italian teacher and can structured for any level, from beginner to advanced.

What's included in the course price:
  • Language course materials
  • A coffee (cappuccino, latte, etc) to accompany each of your language lessons.
  • All the ingredients used during the cookery part of the course - i.e for the ½-hour speciality sessions and the main 3-hour cookery session.
  • A glass of wine with the sit-down meal.
Not included in the course price:
  • Language textbooks (not essential, but if you are interested in learning Italian you may want to get yourself a textbook recommended by the course teacher).
  • Any extra snacks, wine, drinks that you may want during the course sessions or the sit-down meal.

Course Dates/Times :
The course(s) will run:
  • On Wedesday mornings (weekday course)
    10:30-12:00 for the 6 week sessions
    10:00-13:00 for the cooking session

    or

  • On Saturday mornings (weekend course) 10:15-11:45 for the 6 week sessions
    10:00-13:00 for the cooking session
